Michael Ignatieff is my #1 Choice.

I read the article in Saturdays Globe & Mail and I was more convinced than ever that Michael Ignatieff is the renewal guy for the Liberal Party. The greatest asset he has is his wife Suzsanna. I really appreciated the candor and honesty throughout the 8 page article.Who among us has not had sibling rivalry, or complicated family issues. It is reassuring that it transends all.

Life isn't fair, and it isn't "just" in any society. It is hard work! kudos, to try to understand the complicated and complex lives of all who live on our planet. The work /writing Michael Ignatieff has done on human rights is evidence and shows his caring. He is the right choice.

I prefer MI's wife to him. If he's such a sperstar, why did he not bother to respond to the Women's Task Force by the deadline? That doesn't show much of a commitment to 'women in politics'

You've got to be kidding about his greatest asset comment right, with a blog called women in politics? Wow can you say 19th century. Do you still wear bloomers or have you graduated to crinolen? You have not come a long way baby. We need more women in the house and less women in the home!!!

sb..I have no idea why you find it necessary to be abrasive when you want to make a point. Be articulate, people might listen.

We know you stand for Dryden, that's fine. You invite, nay, personify, what we are trying to erradicate in this party...division.

I have yet to make up my mind, but thought the article showed the truth of the man, wart's and all, and I was impressed.

If there are any bloggers out there, that don't have ghost's, a life lived, well, either I don't believe you, or you're very young and that's okay, it's to come. This man has led a full life and do you know what, you'll not find the kind of poison in his comments about those with whom he disagrees, (and inflicted on him), in any of his comments or writings.

I think Dryden is a great man, with much depth and passion. I think his ideas on the whole are sound. I do not think at this place in time, he will, nor should, be our leader...but I do hope he has an instrumental role in gov't.

Why attack? We have the blithering idiots, aka blogging tories, who do that. Why join them?

Yeah I have a problem with women being considered assets, pardon me. The commodification of women as property and as a politician's wife, not as a women in politics, the name of this blog, was what was abrasive. I assure you, reading it was like rubbing up against sand paper. Attitudes about women as political wives is part of what's wrong with Canadian politics and perpetuating it, is wrong for the Party. Until we stop mentioning politicians wives that is what women will remain.

I also came down hard on someone talking about Rae's wife answering questions at a forum and how great that was. If she can answer questions at a political forum then she should be running for office, not doing so as someone's wife. I'm interested in electing male politician's whose wives are not extensions of them and have better things to do like their own careers.

You're an angry woman sb...not sure why, but you are.

Still, Ken Dryden's best for women. Clearly. http://www.kendryden.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=236&Itemid=224&lang=en

MI: whatever.

sinestra...he has a good plan for women...agreed. The next election however, IMHO, is going to be about more than that. Harper has a bizarre hold on this country right now, I think because most people don't really know what he represents. It's not good.

Dryden, may just not be at the right place at the right time. Do we need someone with vision, yes! Does Dryden have some, yes. But, I think we need someone now, who will expose Harper for the true neo-con that he is, and with respect, I think Dryden, is too reflective to do that within a debate.

If we were running against your run of the mill Tory...different story. We're not this time. It's a different animal.

Oh yeah knb, I'll express myself as I decide how to do so, not you! Telling women how to behave or how and what they can say is also part of the problem. I'll take a pass.
